[ Rhys sighed as he drained the last of his drink, putting the glass back down on the small table at the back of the tavern a little too hard. Not that anyone noticed the noise, or him, which suited him just fine. It had been a long down of chasing down leads only for his quarry to be one step ahead of him still. It was getting frustrating.
He’d been tracking a group of bandits who had been using a voidsent to terrorize settlements and while it seemed like an easy job when he took it; so far it had been anything but. So it looked like tonight he was going to get drunk as he signaled a waitress for another round. ]
[ The thing about bounty hunting is usually there are only so many bounties to go around, and any number of people could be after the same target at the same time. Arthur himself has been on the trail of these voidsent-wielding bandits for some time, and now that trail has gone worryingly cold.
A stop at the local tavern seemed to be in order - not just for a drink, but perhaps he can dig around for some information while he’s there. He notices a few familiar faces around the place as he walks in, but none quite so familiar as the Viera sitting in the back corner. The corner of his mouth curves up into a smirk as he heads over and makes himself right at home at Rhys’ table. ]
[ He’s about to tell whoever sat down that he’s really not in the mood for company when he catches a glimpse of familiar red hair and he looks up fully. His mouth curves up into a small smirk. There aren’t many people who he’d let stay after the day he’s had. Arthur however breaks most of his rules. ]
Long week. [ He picks his newly refreshed drink and takes a long swallow. ]
[ Arthur raises a hand to catch the barkeep's attention, angling his head at Rhys in a "I'll have what he's having" sort of gesture. The fellow nods and disappears behind the bar, while Arthur turns his attention back to his fellow Viera. Blue eyes peek over the tops of his shaded spectacles, his grin losing some of its edge as the conversation turns towards matters of business. ]
The same thing as you, I'd reckon. Why is it always bandits?
[ He frowns a bit, folding his hands on the table between them. He contemplates the top of the table for a moment, lantern light glinting off his glasses. ]
Entire gangs of bandits don’t just up and vanish like this, especially not the ones mucking around with voidsent. It’s right swiving strange.
Reaper buddies who eventually kiss???

So it's lead you here, can I assume this is where your trail ended as well?
